These days there are a whole lot of options when college students need a helping hand with their homework and essay assignments. But figuring out which companies are legit and which ones are deceiving their customers can be a difficult task. That is what we are here to do. We are a consumer advocacy group that reviews all of the leading custom writing services in order to help customers make informed choices. For this review, we take a look at PaperHelp.org. According to their website, they provide writing, editing and proofreading services based on any academic level or subject. As is the case with every company we review, we ordered a college-level nursing paper on the topic of health and medicine. We requested that the paper be 4 pages in length double spaced, written by an American writer and with a deadline of 7 days. For most of our reviews, we request a deadline of 5 days, but closest PaperHelp.org offers to this amount of days is 7, so we went for that. We believe that this type of paper should be fairly easy if the writer truly has a background in nursing. When they do not, it ends up being very evident.
Prices & Discounts
When it comes to choosing an academic writing company, the price is important since students do not generally have a lot of money to play around with. In the case of PaperHelp.org, their papers start at $10 for a paper with a 14-day deadline. This is around $2 lower than the industry average of $12. As is the case with all companies, the prices are based on factors such as academic level, page length, the type of assignment, and the deadline. They have a very nice price table that makes it easy for customers to determine how much their paper will cost.
They also offer the 15% discount for first-time customers that has become the standard. They present it as “5% instant discount + 10% bonus” which sounds a bit gimmicky. But regardless, a discount is a discount. They also have a loyalty discount program that has become common in the industry, although rather than using the number of pages as the criteria, they base it on the amount of money the customer has spent. For instance, customers receive an automatic discount of 5% after they have spent $500 on their total orders and 10% after they spend $1000. It is fairly decent, although we found that the companies that offer 15% discounts after their customers have paid for 50 pages receive more generous savings. The base cost for our nursing paper was $76, which became $69 after we applied the discount.
The ordering process was remarkably easy. It was a simple matter of filling out the order form with the proper details and making a payment.
They offer a few features such as:
VIP Customer Support. This provides customers with higher priority and immediate feedback. Are we to assume that customers who do not pay for this service are placed on low priority? We are not sure. In any event, the price for this is $14.99
Plagiarism Report. The cost for 1-10 pages is a set fee of $9.99 and then $1 for each additional page. We should note that there are plenty of other services that offer this for free.
Preferred Writer. This gives customers a chance to choose writers in one of three levels - basic, advanced and top. Repeat customers can also rehire a previous writer. This service costs $14.99.
Abstract Page. PaperHelp.org sells this for $14.99.
Sources used. This includes any links, documents, and screen shots that the writer used for the paper. At $4.99 per source, we do not believe it is worth it. The reference list will already contain these anyway.
Table of Contents/Outline. This includes a list of the headings, sections, chapters, etc. It costs $9.99. This is another feature that other services offer for free.
The quality is what matters most of all. In this regard, we have few complaints. The sources were fine, the paper did not contain any beyond a couple of minor grammar mistakes, and the directions were followed. Had this been turned in, a nursing student could reasonably have expected a B for this essay.
The customer support team can be reached via Skype, live chat, email and toll free by phone. Since they claim to be available 24/7, we decided to test them out at various hours of the day. They always got back to us within a reasonable amount of time. We found the staff to be polite and professional. No issues with accents either.
We used Whois.net to find out when PaperHelp.org launched and discovered that it has been around since 2008, which is consistent with what they say on their website. In comparison, a lot of services are prone to exaggeration.
The reviews from various third-party websites are mixed. Some claim it was the best paper they ever received, others gave it one star. We are not sure what to make of them. Many seem kind of fake. Either way, we personally, our paper to be fine.
Advantages and Disadvantages
- A decent quality paper
- Very professional customer support team
- Reasonable prices
- An easy order
- A loyalty discount policy that could probably have been better planned out
We found PaperHelp.org to be a legit writing service. Would we recommend them as our top choice? Probably not. But if you are looking for a B paper, we feel they can deliver.
