Signs that a writing service is a scam
While there are plenty of legitimate custom writing services, many are nothing more than scams.
Do not be alarmed by services that post fake reviews or use stock photo images in place of actual writers. In spite of their aggressive marketing tactics, they are still capable of producing legitimate services. On the other hand, if their prices are way too low or their customer support team seems indifferent, these are clear signs that you should keep away from those companies.
Satellite websites
Many companies create multiple websites with different domain names. Why?
First, it creates the illusion that there are hundreds of choices out there, when in actuality there are only around a dozen major companies. Second, if a custom is unhappy with one website and try other, conceivably they could still end up ordering from the same company. The same team of writers work for all these satellite sites, which means there is an outside chance that the customer could place an order from the same writer who failed them the last time.
Fake essay reviews
Fabricated essay writing services reviews are a widespread practice.
A team of writers that work for aforementioned satellite websites will review them all as if they were owned by separate companies and then rank all of them at the top, while ranking the competition’s satellite websites low. This is a clever strategy because there is really no way of knowing which websites belong to which companies.
No support
Another problem to be aware of is that a lot of companies do not offer the customer support that they promise on their websites.
They might promote themselves as a 24/7 company that is always available to serve its customers, but once you have received your order, they disappear into a cloud of smoke. Before ordering their services, make absolutely sure that the agents respond to phone calls, emails and live chat. Also be prepared to contact your credit card company if you feel like the writing service is legitimately scamming you.
Low prices
If the offer seems way too good to be true, it probably is.
If a company is offering their papers for $7 or less, they are definitely outsourcing their writers from third-world countries and certain not from the US or UK.
While every customer is looking for a good deal, remember that the low cost of the paper is going to be reflected in the quality of the work. In other words, you should not get your hopes up.
